Kentish Town Courts Constructed

UK Wallball is delighted to be building not one but two free-to-access community wallball courts in Kentish Town, at the Talacre Sports Centre. The courts will be for use by anyone and we hope to run a wealth of community based projects there. But…they need to built.

Cue an intrepid bunch Wallball volunteers who travelled from far and wide to help with the build. Emmett Fitzpatrick, who first came to our attention at this year’s UK Open, offered to erect the courts with two of his colleagues. Then Wendy, Luke S, Damien, John and Ollie painted the walls and the lines.

UK Wallball President Daniel Grant said, “Wow, this is just brilliant. The first step towards the New York model of making wallball accessible for anyone at any time. If this is a success, we’ll look to roll wallball out across London. A fantastic effort by all those involved and wonderful community spirit!”

The courts will have some finishing touches added to them this month before they officially launch on Thursday 5th September to which anyone and everyone is invited.
